The effects of AAu1–AAu3 on the growth of A. castellanii belonging to T4 genotype. Briefly A. castellanii (5 × 105 trophozoites) were incubated with AAu1–AAu3 in growth medium, PYG at 37 °C for 24 h. After this period, amoebae were counted using haemocytometer. Note that none of the trial compounds shows significant effect on the growth of A. castellanii as compared to control. The results represent the mean ± standard error of three different experiments performed in duplicates
