(A-D) Representative images of articular cartilage of joints in hands from RA-/Ab- (A), RA-/Ab+ (B), RA+/Ab- (C), and RA+/AB+ (D) mice were stained with Fast Green and Safranin O. Note that cartilage matrix stained pink-red by Safranin O diminished and the erosion on the surface of cartilage was observed in the joints from RA+/Ab- and RA+/Ab+ mice. Bars: 20 μm.
